I was curious for Shahid. As soon as it released I was unfortunate to see it as I had some other priorities but I was sure that I would watch it come what may. The trailer made me do a research on the life of real Shahid. The story hit my heart and it's unusual creation forced me to believe in an invisible concept of todays era i.e. 'Humanity'.
Story - The film is a flashback of how Shahid became a lawyer and human rights activist after being accused as a terrorist. He later studied law and became a professional criminal lawyer where he fought against people who were accused for years without any strong evidence.
Performance-
I went to see Raj Kumar Yadav who was Anurag's pick for the movie and he performed truly marvelous. Each and every dialogue of his had a point to believe. I read in an article that in college life he was a part of a small human right activity. Maybe that helped him a lot.
Positives - The film is crafted superbly. Hansal Mehta was straight on the point
Negatives - Nothing. Seriously!
Final Verdict - Shahid is a must must must watch. It's an inspiring story with and added advantage of a great performance.
