I was not 100% interested in watching Boss but I think I was wrong because I was entertained. Its basic essence being a Masala Entertainer and hence it gave what I did not think.
Story - The film does not have any story and probably that's the only drawback of the film. Mithun is a school teacher who has his own strict principles which leads to separation from elder son who after 15years becomes a big GUNDA called Boss. His younger son is caught romancing with Aditi Rao Hydari by her brother Ronit Roy who is also a Sr. Inspector. Ronit Roy grabs him in jail and Akshay Kumar tries to rescues him. Now, what happens in between and at the end is what I suggest you to figure out in theaters.
Performance-
Akshar Kumar aka BOSS - He is the Baap in the whole movie. His acting skills are very flexible and I saw an the old Khiladi in a new avatar.
Mithun Chakraborthy aka Babuji - Not many movies show the love between a son and a father. Boss did it and I guess bollywood found an epic dad in Boss.
Ronit Roy as Inspector Ayushmann Thakur - He is the new bad man of Bollywood. Superb acting.
Shiv Pandit & Aditi Rao Hydari- They had small role to play but was not bad at all.
Danny Denzogpa aka BIGG BOSS- He is the Big Boss in the film. His attitude is still the same. Loved it.
Positives - The comedy and the performance of Akshay Kumar.
Negatives - The absence of plot.
Final Verdict - Boss is a total entertainer. I loved the comedy, action, Music and performance. Though there wasn't any particular plot but rest of the things were situational.
Rating - 3.5/5
Why You should watch Boss - Because it will simply entertain you with its rusty comedy. Also if you are an admirer of Akshay Kumar.
Why you should avoid Boss - If you are bored of the usual entertainers which doesn't have any plots.
Business Ratings - The film will do maximum business of 75-80cr looking at the fan following of Akki. It wouldn't cross 100cr because I guess there are many people who are seriously bored with brianless entertainers.
